Evolution Is Science Fiction :

Rom 1:20  For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Rom 1:21  For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Rom 1:22  Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23  and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

This is very good indeed, as far as exposing the ridiculous belief in evolution.

The problem I have with Ray Comfort's evangelism is this - he puts the biblical command to repent and believe in the form of a choice to the unregenerate. At about the 29:10 mark, Ray says 'if you repent and trust in Him'...Here lies the problem. God is sovereign, all of salvation is a gift from God. When we give sinners any options, we lessen God's sovereignty and seek to rob Him of glory in the saving of dead sinners. We also add to the Gospel message something that simply is not found anywhere in the Bible...a work, a method for sinners to follow.

We are not called to be successful when we proclaim the Gospel to sinners, we are not called to give them a choice. The Bible commands sinners to repent and believe, it does not present repentance and faith as a choice - it is a bold command by the Holy and True Living God.

Am I making a big deal out of nothing? I think not, we cannot lead sinners to believe they have an option. We should urge them to be reconciled, but never should we give any part of God's truth as a choice or option. The Bible does not do this, and neither should we.

America is filled with professing Christians who made a choice - made a decision, invited Jesus into their hearts, raised their hand, repeated a prayer - all methods given by some well-meaning evangelist/preacher who thought it necessary to get results instead of understanding God uses the preaching of the word to save, not man's methods. As a result, we have multitudes of unregenerate sinners who think themselves saved because of the method they chose. This type of evangelism is more damning than any cult.

You are quite right to be cautious Lyn, And as far as I am aware Brother Ray is not Reformed in the sense you and I would know it.
To be fair though I think Ray would be the first one to beware of influencing anyone making a spurious decision for Christ and I believe from what I have heard him say previously that he does recognize it is God who grants repentance and faith once he has done a work in any individual.
His teaching on true and false conversion supports this.

Especially like what you wrote here :
"The Bible commands sinners to repent and believe, it does not present repentance and faith as a choice - it is a bold command by the Holy and True Living God."

Amen to that Sister.
