My 100th Post Of 2012 :

Since this post will be 100 this year I thought I would post something from a sermon on Psalm 100, on thankfulness to God and it's purpose :

“Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” this is our primary purpose for praising God, there are many other purposes, it humbles us and that is good for us, it fosters contentment and that is also good for us. We enter into these courts so that we may be thankful and bless His name.

Coming, or going to a church meeting contrary to popular opinion, is not about us feeling good, it really isn’t,
It is not about us having an experience or that we might leave in a better frame of mind, these things are not necessarily wrong, these things are important but they are by products we enjoy when we come to bless God, exalt Him and praise His name.

Psa 100:1  A Psalm of Thanksgiving. Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
Psa 100:2  Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
Psa 100:3  Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Psa 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
Psa 100:5  For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
