The Glory of God - Paris Reidhead

I'd like to make a comment addressing your tag-line (2 Tim 3:1-4). Jesus said that the current generation (that of his disciples) would not pass before he returned. That was 2000 years ago. Why do Christians always ignore that and pretend it didn't happen?

Thanks, good question.

Jesus Christ actually said this:
Mat 24:34 "Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place."

He was refering, in this passage, to the destruction of Jerusalem which happened in 70 AD, so that generation did not pass away.

Maybe you meant this verse ?
Mat 16:28 "Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

He was speaking about the event that proceeded His comments 6 days later here:
Mat 17:1 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
Mat 17:2 And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.

I hope that answers your question ?

Please let me know.
